The outline is coming along. I took best-selling author James Patterson's advice and create a detailed outline with the beats of the story before writing the book. It's how I tackled the "Free For All," and works well for mysteries where keeping track of suspects and clues is essential. I was aiming for this year, but asking editors to work over the holidays seems unreasonable. Plus, I don't think I can make that kind of deadline. I seem to be busier than ever. Thank you for your patients. You'll get a dose of Lexi, hopefully, early next year. Then we'll have plenty to celebrate.
