This is a double Throw Back Thursday. Lynn and I were watching a Murder She Wrote (throwback #1) where the actor Eric Braeden was playing a villain, and Lynn told me a story of watching the character Braeden played, Victor Newman, on the soap opera The Young and the Restless (throwback #2). Victor arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin in 1980. Viewers loved to hate Victor and whenever he was in a scene, Lynn would turn to her Aunt Mickey and say, “A man whose accent knows no country.” It made Mickey laugh every time. It’s still funny. And Braeden has always been a terrific villain.
