Welcome to my website! I'm Autumn Doerr, an Emmy-nominated producer and the author of the Lexi Fagan Mystery series. If you love a good cozy mystery, you'll fall for Lexi Fagan, a small-town girl finding her way in the big city. In book one, "Baker's Dozen," Lexi's firefighter boyfriend goes missing and Lexi must decide if she's a spectator in her life or someone who will do what it takes to find answers. She choses answers over ignorance, but what she uncovers just might get her killed. In the second book in the series, "Free For All," office intrigue turns deadly when Lexi's boss at a think tank turns up dead and she's pulled into the investigation. She becomes the eyes and ears inside the office when her old friend Detective Robert Reiger enlists her help as suspects seem to multiply by the day.
"BAKER'S DOZEN: A LEXI FAGAN MYSTERY" IS NOW AVAILABLE ON KINDLE!
In the first Lexi Fagan Mystery, “Baker’s Dozen,” Lexi is newly arrived in San Francisco and lands a job working at McCracken’s Bakery. When her lover, firefighter Jerry Stevens, turns up dead in a devastating hotel fire, Lexi has no time to mourn. Homicide detective Robert Reiger discovers Jerry’s death was no accident. Caught up in the investigation, Lexi uncovers a shocking secret that just might get her killed.
“There's something about a mystery that is satisfying. There is an end. An outcome. A resolution that satisfies the storyteller in all of us.”
Autumn Doerr is a Mills College graduate (’96). She works in television as an Emmy-nominated and GLAAD-award winning story producer and is also the author of two mystery books, “Baker’s Dozen” and "Free For All.” Both books take place in San Francisco during the 1980s. A time before cell phones when the library was the mothership of knowledge, Tower Records was the place to be on a Saturday morning, and North Beach had the best nightlife in town that often seeped into an espressos at an outdoor cafe at dawn. A city to fall in love with and never get over.
Autumn is currently working on the third book in the series "Sins of the Mother."
